Add Hyperlink to an Image

External Hyperlink

An External Hyperlink is one that links outside of your web site. For instance, it might be a link to Google or a business partner.

  • Click on the image so the 8 resizing grips appear
  • Click on the [IMAGE] icon in the bottom toolbar.
  • The Hyperlink dialog box will open.
  • The the full URL to the web site into the URL field. For instance http://www.google.com
  • If you want to open the page in a new window, check the "Display in new window" check-box.
  • If you want a message to be displayed asking the visitor to accept before opening the new page, check the "Display link message" check-box.
  • If you have checked the "Display link message" check-box, a "Link message name" list box will appear. Click on the message you want to use. Please see Link Messages for more information.

Link to Page

Link to Page is a Hyperlink to a page within the site that's being edited. Using this feature to create links will ensure the link remains valid even if the page name changes.

  • Click on the image so the 8 resizing grips appear
  • Click on the [IMAGE] icon in the bottom toolbar.
  • The Link to Page dialog will appear.
  • Select the page you want your link to go to.
  • Select the Anchor you want your link to go to. This list will represent all the anchors you have placed into the selected page. Please see Insert Anchor below for more information.
  • If you want the link to open in a new page, check the "Open in new window" check-box.
  • Click OK.
  • The image or highlighted text will now become a hyperlink.

Email Hyperlink

An Email Hyperlink will open the visitors local email client to send a message to the address specified in the link.

 [IMAGE] Note: Using this feature to allow visitors to contact you may increase the amount of spam email received. To avoid this problem consider using the form application instead. 

  • Click on the image so the 8 resizing grips appear

  • Click on the [IMAGE] icon in the bottom toolbar.

  • The Email Hyperlink dialog will appear.

  • Enter the Email Address the hyperlink will point at.

  • If you want a message to be displayed asking the visitor to accept before opening the new page, check the "Display link message" check-box.

  • If you have checked the "Display link message" check-box, a "Link message name" list box will appear. Click on the message you want to use. Please see Link Messages for more information.
