Field that will gather letters and numbers. Typically used for First Name, Last Name, Company Name, etc. (see Form Example
|Begin on Quick Panel, select the Palette tab.
Then click on Form within the Group tabs.
Click, hold and drag Text Field icon on to your web page.
The Text Field Properties dialog box will display.
Let's review each section:
||Type in name of field
||Place a checkmark in box if the data must be collected in the form
||(optional) - type in text to be displayed to users next to the field when validating the information they enter. (See Form Validation for more information)
||Type in instructions for site visitors or a description of the field. This will appear as small text just below the field.|
||Width of the field to display. The field will scroll left to right should your viewer add more data.
| Billing Options:
|Not Used for Billing
||Check this box if not collecting funds. If you are collecting funds, you MUST purchase an Encryption Certificate, call your Sales Representative today.
|Billing First Name
||check if this field is to be used as the first name for a credit card or PayPal transaction.
|Billing Last Name
||check if this field is to be used as the last name for a credit card or PayPal transaction.
|| check if this fields is used as the city for a credit card or PayPal transaction.
|Note Used for Authentication
||select if you are not using this form to register site visitors for a members-only area of your web site.
|Authentication First Name
||check to if this field will be used as a first name for authentication.
|Authentication Last Name
||check if this field will be used as the last name for authentication.
|Authentication User Name
|| check to make this field the user’s login/username.
|Complete or Cancel
- Select OK to save the field properties
- Select Cancel to abort operation.
Date & Time
To add more field types, just drag the appropriate Field Type onto your form. Each Field Type will be added to the bottom. Need to move a field up or down within your form, see Move Field within Form
