Podcast Archive

The Podcast Archive provides a way for your visitors to view or listen to old Podcasts that are no longer a part of your main Podcast news feed.

Inserting Podcast Archive application

  1. Click on the Palette tab of the Quick Panel

  2. Click on the Audio/Video group of the Palette.

  3. Drag the Podcast Archive  Icon [IMAGE] from the Palette to the location you want it to appear in your web page.

Podcast Archive Properties
  1. Right click on the Podcast Archive application in your editor.

  2. Select Audio Archive from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select Properties from the Audio Archive drop-down menu.

  4. The Properties dialog box will appear.

  5. Select the page and title of the Podcast you want to associate with this archive from the "Podcast Page" list box.

  6. Enter the number of programs you want to display on each page of the archive in the "Programs per page" field.

  7. Press OK to save your change.

Validating the Podcast Archive Application

You can verify all your Podcast Archive settings are correct with the Validation Tool. If there are problems listed here, it could mean you Podcast Archive will not work as expected.

  1. Right click on the Podcast Archive application.

  2. Select Audio Archive from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select Validation from the Podcast drop-down menu.

  4. The Application Validation dialog box will appear and show the current status of the Podcast application.

Error Levels

[IMAGE] Indicates a check that is OK (no problem). Note: Most tests do not return anything unless there is a problem. A few applications with critical requirements will return a positive OK acknowledgement.

[IMAGE]Information only. Things in the category are not normally a problem.

[IMAGE] Warning. While this will not cause a failure for the site to operate properly, it may reflect a problem that will cause less that desirable results form search engines. These problems my also cause your site to fail basic HTML (World Wide Web Consortium) tests. 

[IMAGE] Error. These must be fixed. They represent a problem that can cause your site or one of it's applications to fail.

Remove Audio Archive
  1. Right click on the Podcast Archive application.

  2. Select Audio Archive from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select Remove Audio Archive from the Audio Archive  drop-down menu.

  4. The Podcast Application will be removed.

Advanced Styles

Advanced styles allow you to modify the look and feel of the Podcast Archive application. For more information see Advanced Styles.

  1. Right click on the Podcast Archive application.

  2. Select Audio Archive from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select Advanced Styles from the Audio Archive drop-down.

  4. The Advanced Styles dialog box will open.
