Navigation Map

This is a site map of your web site. Site Maps are extremely important to Search Engines. iEditWeb ‘automatically’ creates a Site Map just for the Search Engines. It’s on the back-side of your site. As you make changes, updates, add new pages, features, etc. iEditWeb is dynamically updating this page for you. When the Search Engines visit your site, they get excited and utilize this information to rank your web site. This feature is extremely important.


Recommend creating a new web page to place your Navigation Map

To begin, on the Quick Panel, select the Palette tab.

Then click on Web Objects with the Group tabs.

Click on the Nav Map icon and drag onto your web page within your site.

Navigation Map Application will appear on your web page within your site.

Properties for Navigation Map

RIght click on the Navigation Map Application.  The borders will turn red.

Drop-down menu will appear.  Select Nav Map.   Then select Properties.

Properties dialog box will appear.

Show hidden area = check this box to display hidden pages

Show private pages = check this box to display private pages

Select OK to confirm.   Select Cancel to abort.

Remove Navigation Application.

RIght click on the Navigation Map Application.  The borders will turn red.

Drop-down menu will appear.  Select Nav Map.   Then select Remove Navigation Application.

Dialog box will appear.   Select OK to confirm.  Select Cancel to abort..

Navigation Application Advanced Styles

Advanced Styles is extremely powerful giving you the ability to change the appearance of the form. Change font, font size, width of field label, width of form, and much more. You may wish to reference the Advanced Styles Chapter within this Knowledge Guide.
