External Hyperlink

This will link your website visitor to another website.

An External Hyperlink is one that links outside of your web site. For instance, it might be a look to Google or a business partner.

  1. Highlight the text you want to make into a hyperlink.

  2. Click on the [IMAGE] icon in the bottom toolbar.

  3. The Hyperlink dialog box will open.

  4. The the full URL to the web site into the URL field. For instance http://www.google.com.  Do not enter: google.com -- that's not a complete web address.

  5. If you want to open the page in a new window, check the "Display in new window" check-box.

  6. If you want a message to be displayed asking the visitor to accept before opening the new page, check the "Display link message" check-box.  (See Link Messages to learn how to add messages to select.)

  7. If you have checked the "Display link message" check-box, a "Link message name" list box will appear. Click on the message you want to use.

  8. Select OK.
