Library Manager

Opening Library Manager

  • Click on Image in the main menu bar.
  • Click on Library Manager in the drop-down menu.
  • The Library Manager dialog will appear.

Search
  • Provide search criteria to find images in your library.
    • Search Images - keywords to search for, leave blank to include all images that match the other criteria.
    • Taken - A date range of when the image was taken/created. An image may have date taken/created data embedded in the image file, depending on the technology used to create it.
    • Uploaded - A date range of when the image was uploaded. By default images uploaded in the last two weeks is specified.
  • Press the [IMAGE] icon to search for matching images.
  • Results shows the images that match the last search. You can use the "Thumbnail | Detail" drop-down box to change the view from thumbnails to a details list.

Edit Properties
  • Click on one of the images in the Results section.
  • A thumbnail of the image along with details about the image will appear in the Currently Selected area.
  • Click on the [IMAGE] Image Properties button.
  • Modify the fields.
    • Name - this is the name of the file. You can change this name but DO NOT CHANGE THE EXTENSION (the part of the name after the period; in this case .png)
    • Taken - this is the date the image was taken as reported by the camera that took it. It's not recommended that you change this.
    • Uploaded - A date range of when the image was uploaded. By default images uploaded in the last two weeks is specified.
    • Keywords - this is a comma delimited list of keywords that can be used to search for this image. By default it will the the name of the file without it's extension.
  • Click OK to save changes.

Delete

  • Click on one of the images in the Results section.
  • A thumbnail of the image along with details about the image will appear in the Currently Selected area.
  • Click on the [IMAGE]Delete button.
  • The Delete Asset confirmation dialog box will appear.
  • Click OK.

Upload
  • Click on the [IMAGE] Upload Image button.
  • The Select a File dialog will appear.
  • Pick a file from your local file system.
  • Click Open.
  • The Image Properties dialog box will appear.
  • Edit the properties for the newly uploaded file. See Edit Properties above.
  • Once you click OK, the file will be added as a new asset.

Download

  • Select the image to be downloaded.
  • Click on the [IMAGE]Download Image button.
  • The Save Image dialog will appear.
  • Pick a location to save the image on your local file system.
  • Click Save.
