Upload a Picture, Image, or Logo

There 5 ways to place a picture or logo into a web page with the editor.

 [IMAGE] Note: Images can't be CMYK because some versions of Internet Explorer do not support it. If you attempt to upload a CMYK image, you will receive a warning.


  
Clipboard

If you have an image in your clipboard, you can simply hit Control-V or use [IMAGE] the icon of the bottom toolbar to place it into your web page.

 [IMAGE] Note: Images that have a transparent background may not look right when placed with the clipboard.

Drag and Drop

  • Open both the editor and your file explorer window and place them side-by-site on your desktop.
  • Place your mouse cursor over the image in you file explorer and press the left mouse button.
  • While holding down on the mouse button, drag the image over the area in your web page that you want the image to appear.
  • Release the mouse button.
  • The image will appear at the drop point.

Quick Panel Palette

  • Place your mouse cursor over the Image icon in the Palette tab of the Quick Panel.
  • Press the left mouse button.
  • While holding down the mouse button, drag the Image icon over the area in your web page that you want the image to appear.
  • Release the mouse button.
  • The Select a File dialog will appear.
  • Pick the image you want to place from your local file system.
  • Press Open, the image will appear at the drop point.

Insert Image 

  • Place the cursor at the location you want to place your image.
  • Click the [IMAGE] icon in the bottom toolbar.
  • The Select a File dialog will appear.
  • Pick the image you want to place from your local file system.
  • Press Open, the image will appear at your cursor.

Library

  • Place the cursor where you want the new image to appear.
  • Select Image from the main menu bar.
  • Select Insert Image From Library from the drop-down menu.
  • The Insert Image from Library dialog appears.
    • Search Images - keywords to search for, leave blank to include all images that match the other criteria.
    • Uploaded - A date range of when the image was uploaded. By default images uploaded in the last two weeks is specified.
    • Use - this specifies what the image is normally used for. This can be specified in the Library Manager
    • Style - this style can be specified in the Library Manager. The Auto Add style are images that where automatically added to the library because they where inserted into your web site with one of the other image insertion methods.
  • Press the [IMAGE] icon to search for matching images.
  • Results shows the images that match the last search. You can use the "Thumbnail | Detail" drop-down box to change the view from thumbnails to a details list. Click on the image you want to use.
  • After selecting an image, the "Currently Selected" section will show a thumbnail of the image along with other details about the image.
  • Press OK to complete inserting the image into your web page.
  • Provide search criteria to find images in your library.
